Strasbourg & Mittelbergheim

Ok… quick notes. tonight.  Too much wine at the local restaurant. Too much heat. Not enough non blog time. We are staying in Mittelbergheim. A sleepy little village in the Alsace that is littered with winemakers. We’re staying with one of them. The restaurant was two doors down and the local food was awesome. Such a big feed, and with all the wine. Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh.. 🙂

We looped back to the cathedral and went inside for a) shade, b) the nice cool temperature, and c) to watch others do the same.  No time for prayers.  The fairies won’t change the temperature!!  Still 37C.

Back to our accommodation at Mittelbergheim.  We’re staying at a kinda B&B which is located at a working vineyard. Awesome accommodation.

We get back to our room and empty another bottle of Pinot Blanc before heading out to dinner. Beautiful!
Img_1541
At dinner… ooops focus out.  Kath had a rack of lamb.
Img_1548
Of course I’m always keen on a rack but went for an absolutely traditional dish (I can’t remember the details, nor am I about to look it up). Bed awaits.
Img_1550
Let’s have a third bottle!

The rest is a blur.  Blog done for tonight.  Did I just write all this??
Mittelbergheim. A small Alsace village that has soooo much to offer!!! Love it here. Where else can you sit outside to dine, and then a tractor drives past, just 10m from your table??  Oh yeah I remember – the Naki!!   🙂
